7 Layer Bar Recipe
This 7 layer bar recipe is easy and quick but oh so good. If you can crush a graham cracker you can make this cookie.
This makes it extremely kiddy friendly so if you don’t have any kiddies borrow some from the neighbors.
This is the recipe as I have made it but it looks as if it would lend itself to variations such as a different cookie instead of the graham crackers or maybe some chopped dates along with the nuts. 7 Layer Bar Recipe1/4 lb. margarine 1 1/4 c. crushed graham crackers 1 c. coconut 6 oz. chocolate chips 6 oz. butterscotch chips 1 c. nuts 1 can Eagle Brand milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt the margarine in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Layer in pan as listed: crushed graham crackers, coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and nuts, pouring the Eagle Brand milk over all. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool and cut into squares, bars or diamonds. Makes 36 squares.
