Banana Chocolate Chip Cookie
There's nothing better than a chocolate chip cookie, unless it's a Banana Chocolate Chip Cookie . Not only do you get the great flavor of the banana, but you also get a big boost of Vitamin C. For the best flavor use a very ripe banana. "Chocolate Chip Cookies are a favorite of home bakers."
Banana Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup butter, softened 1/4 cup light brown sugar 1 ripe banana, mashed 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt and set aside. In a medium bowl cream the butter and brown sugar together. Beat in the banana and egg and then stir in the vanilla. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until well blended. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. To make this Banana Chocolate Chip Cookie even better throw in a cup of pecans or walnuts when you fold in the chocolate chips. The nuts will give the cookies even more flavor plus adding a “crunch factor”.
