Butterfinger Popcorn Balls Recipe
This Butterfinger Popcorn Balls Recipe might just be the best popcorn ball recipe in my files. The addition of the Butterfinger candy bars hits my taste buds just right.
Butterfinger Popcorn Balls Recipe
Ingredients
6 cups popped light microwave popcorn
3 Butterfinger candy bars, chopped
Butter-flavored cooking spray
1/4 cup light margarine
3 2/3 cups miniature marshmallows
Directions
In a large mixing bowl combine the popped popcorn and the chopped Butterfinger candy bars.
Spray a medium saucepan with butter-flavored cooking spray. Melt the margarine.
Stir in the marshmallows and cook over low heat stirring constantly until the marshmallows are melted and smooth.
Pour the mixture over the popcorn and gently toss until well coated.
Spray your hands with cooking spray and form the popcorn mixture into balls approximately 3-inches each. Set the popcorn balls on wax paper to cool. Store in and airtight container or wrap individually in plastic wrap.
Yield: 6 popcorn balls
Butterfinger is one of my favorite candy bars. This recipe, however, makes me wonder what other popcorn ball recipes would benefit by the addition of a candy bar.
