Candy Corn Cookie

These Candy Corn Cookie Recipes remind me of my childhood. Popcorn balls and candy corn were big items during my trick or treat days.

Check out the Popcorn Ball Recipes page for popcorn balls.

Both of these cookie recipes are reminders of candy corn.

This first recipe is cookie dough colored, shaped and cut out to look like the sweet treat.

Look-a-like Candy Corn Cookie Recipe

1 cup of sugar
1 cup of margarine, softened
2 1/4 cup of flour
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Orange and yellow food coloring

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Cream the sugar and the margarine together. Add the egg and the vanilla and blend well. Add the flour. Divide the dough into 3 parts and roll into balls. Add the orange coloring to one of the balls. Add the yellow to the other. The remaining ball has no color.

Chill the dough.

Roll the balls flat together so that the white ball is the bottom, the orange ball is the middle and the yellow ball is the top.

With a knife cut the dough into 3-inch triangles.

Bake 15 min at 350 degrees

Candy Corn Cookie Recipe

Instead of a cookie shaped liked candy corn this recipe actually uses it.

4 tablespoons butter, very soft
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup flour, all-purpose
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
36 candy corn (or one piece per cookie)

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Place the butter and the sugar in a medium bowl and beat well using a wooden spoon.

Add in the egg yolk, vanilla, baking powder and salt, and continue to mix until well combined. Add the flour and the cocoa and mix until dough forms.

Scoop out level teaspoons of dough and form into balls. Place the balls on a cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm and the cookies feel dry to the touch.

Remove the pan from the oven and immediately press a candy corn in the center of each cookie. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for one minute before placing them on a wire rack to cool completely.

VANILLA VARIATION: Simply omit the cocoa and increase the flour to 3/4 cup; otherwise proceed the same as above.

Both of these Candy Corn Cookie Recipes are easily made and are a real treat for the kiddies. Let them take part and they'll remember your Halloween party forever.
