Chess Bar Recipe
This is another great cake mix cookie recipe. You can vary this chess bar recipe simply by changing the flavor of cake mix.
I can envision a great tasting cookie by using this recipe and substituting Betty Crocker Butter Pecan cake mix and using pecans for the nuts in the topping.
Chess Bar Recipe
Base:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter melted
2 eggs
Top:
1 box confectioner’s sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
2 eggs
1 c. nuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
For The Base: Mix cake mix, 2 eggs and melted butter; spread in 9 x 12 cake pan.
For The Top: Mix sugar, cream cheese, 2 eggs and nuts. Pour over other mixture. Bake for 30 minutes.
Allow to cool before cutting into bars, squares, triangles or diamonds.
