Chocolate Peanut Popcorn Squares
Chocolate Peanut Popcorn Squares are a variation of a popcorn ball recipe. Instead of the messy job of forming the popcorn mixture into a ball you just press into a pan and cut into squares.
Chocolate Peanut Popcorn Squares
1 bag Betty Crocker Pop Secret microwave popcorn, popped
2 Tbsp. Butter
1 pkg. miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanuts
For Chocolate Glaze:
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
2 tsp. Butter
Remove and discard any unpopped kernels.
Place the butter in 4 quart microwavable bowl or casserole. Microwave on high until melted, about 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in the marshmallows and chips until coated. Microwave on High just until mixture can be stirred smooth, 2 to 4 minutes, stirring once each minute.
Carefully fold in peanuts and popcorn until coated. Press mixture into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with wooden spoon. Drizzle with chocolate glaze. Let cool.
For glaze: Place chips and butter in microwave uncovered on High for 1 to 3 minutes. Stir every 30 seconds.
Makes about 24 (2-inch) Chocolate Peanut Popcorn Squares.
