They taste like brownies. Chocolate Spritz Cookie RecipeIngredients5/8 cup shortening Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg, and stir in the vanilla extract and the milk. Combine the flour, cocoa, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Fill your cookie press, and press onto ungreased half sheet pans. Decorate with sprinkles if desired. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from the half sheet pans to cool on wire racks. These cookies are soft and chewy with delicious chocolate flavor. Be sure to make a trial batch before you make them for your Christmas cookie tray however.
