Devils Food Cake Mix Cookie

Chocolate Mint Devils Food Cake Mix Cookie

1/2 cup Crisco, softened
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
1 pkg. devil's food cake mix

Cream the shortening with the egg yolk and then add the peppermint, creaming until fluffy. Add the cake mix, working with a spoon until dough is of pastry-like consistency. Pinch off the dough into small balls, about 1 teaspoon for each ball. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, and bake in 375 degrees oven for 8 minutes. (Do not overcook). Cool on wire rack. Store in covered cookie tin.


Chocolate Devils Food Cookie

1 box devil's food cake mix
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. Water
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Powdered sugar

Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Mix the cake mix, eggs, water and shortening together. Mix in the chopped pecans. Shape the dough into small balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place the balls on a cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove immediately from the cookie sheet.


Macaroon Devils Food Cookie Bars

Base Ingredients:

1 pkg. Devils Food cake mix
1/3 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 egg

Topping Ingredients:

14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 egg
1 1/4 cup coconut
1 cup chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan. Combine the base ingredients. Mix at the highest speed of your mixer until crumbly. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.

In a small bowl beat the milk, vanilla and the egg until blended. Stir in 1 cup coconut and the nuts. Pour over the base in pan and then spread to cover. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup coconut over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Center may appear loose but will set upon cooling. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting. Makes 36 bars.


Snickerdoodles Devils Food Cake Mix Cookie

1 box devil's food cake mix
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp. Vanilla

Mix until moist. Roll into ball, and roll in powdered sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet. Place pecan half in warm cookie.


Chocolate Yum-Yums Devils Food Cake Mix Cookie

1 (18.25 oz.) pkg. devil's food cake mix
1/2 cup melted margarine
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup chopped pecans(optional)
6 (1.65 oz.) milk chocolate bars, broken into rectangles
Candy sprinkles

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cake mix, oil and eggs in a large bowl. Stir well. Stir in pecans. Using a teaspoon, drop batter by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing cookies about 2-inches apart. Bake 10 minutes. While cookies are still warm, place a chocolate rectangle on the top of each cookie. Gently spread the chocolate. Sprinkle cookies with candy sprinkles. Put cookies on wire racks to cool. Makes about 5 dozen Devils Food Cake Mix Cookies.
