Easy Halloween Cookie

This Easy Halloween Cookie is great for making the cut out cookies of Halloween figures. Whatever Halloween shape you use this cookie dough will maintain the detail during baking.

Plus they taste great!

Easy Halloween Pattern Cookies

2/3 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup milk
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla and milk.

Combine the flour, baking powder and salt, stir into the wet mixture. Cover and chill the dough for about 1 hour.

On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 to 1/8 inch thickness.

Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until middle of cookie springs back when touched. Cool on wire racks.

Gather the kiddies and have a cookie frosting party.
