Easy Holiday Cookies

Easy Holiday Cookies that taste great! These easy holiday sugar cookies are excellent for any holiday. Not only are they quick and easy but they also have great flexibility.

They're good just plain but you can add nuts, candies or chocolate chips for an even better holiday cookie.

Easy Holiday Sugar Cookies

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup butter, softened 1 1/2 cups white sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.

In a small bowl, stir together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.

Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let the cookies stand on the cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

Do not over bake these cookies! They will appear to soft to be done but when they cool they will be yummy and chewy.
