Hello. My name is Jim Bolding and I'm the creator of the Cookie Recipe Club.
First of all I'm not a professional chef. (Even though my friends say I'm a great cook.) My background is in Industrial Engineering.
I've always had a love for cooking. Especially trying new recipes, ingredients, cooking techniques and equipment. If it looks like a challenge I have to try it.
Cooking just to eat is not what makes me happy--it's the challenge.
I've never been much of a "sweets" eater myself but a little over a year ago, through my friends and family, I became interested in baking cookies.
The engineering side of me loves cookie baking. Even though it's not that difficult to throw together cookie dough and bake it up, there is some science involved.
That was my initial appeal to cookie baking. However it didn't take long for baking cookies to extend to sharing recipes.
That's where I am now and that's the entire reason for this web site.
I want to extend my cookie recipe sharing to the whole world. The joy of sharing recipes, baking tips and all things cookie is what I’m about.
For me there's nothing better than the warm fuzzy feeling I get from sharing recipes with a friend.
The Cookie Recipe Club is for cookie lovers everywhere. You're welcome to join. The only charge is sharing.
Jim

|
Scones Are scones really cookies? Well, I guess if you go by the traditional definition it's really a quick bread similar to an American biscuit. The difference is a scone is flaky.

Dried Fruit Dried fruit is a great addition to cookies. They add sweetness, texture, visual appeal and flavor. Where would the oatmeal raisin cookie be without raisins?
