Orange Brownie

Orange syrup soaked into chocolate chip brownies makes this first Orange Brownie. It's great for the kiddies.

The second version is more for grownups as it uses orange flavored liqueur.

Bake up a double batch of either brownie recipe and make somebody happy with brownie cookies as gifts.

2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 cup sifted flour
1/4 tsp. Soda

1 1/4 cup rolled oats
6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Just before the brownies are done, mix the sugar and the orange juice. Bring to boil. Remove from the heat. Stir in the orange rind. Pour the hot syrup over the hot baked brownies. Cool and cut into small wedges. This orange brownie is great served with ice cream.
