Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Peanut butter and chocolate is a perfect flavor marriage. You get both in these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies.

The second recipe calls for pecans, which add additional flavor and a "crunch factor".

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

1 cup margarine
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In a large bowl beat the margarine, peanut butter, and sugars. Add the eggs and beat until well combined.

In a small bowl combine the flour and baking soda and set aside. Gradually add the dry ingredients and beat until creamy. Stir in the chocolate chips. Drop on cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes.


Pecan Peanut Butter Cookie With Chocolate Chips

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
2 Tbsp. peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Mix the butter, shortening and peanut butter until they are soft and fluffy. Stir in the sugars, egg and vanilla. Mix well and add dry ingredients. Fold in pecans and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.

Bake in a preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges of cookies are lightly browned. Cool cookies for 5 minutes on cookie sheet before removing them and finishing cooling on rack. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
