Soft Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
1 Tbsp. Water
2 cups (12-ounce package) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixer bowl until they are creamy.
Add the eggs one at a time beating well after each addition to be sure they are incorporated. Beat in the corn syrup and water.
Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate morsels and the nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes and then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Watch the cookies closely. Over baking is the primary reason for cookies that are not soft.
