Special K Bar Recipe

Kellogg's sells special k bars but with this special k bar recipe you can make your own. And like all no bake cookies these are quick and easy and the oven is not necessary.

The commercial bars come in a variety of flavors which you can imitate or just create whatever flavors you like by throwing in a handful of dried fruit, chocolate chips or whatever.

Special K Bar Recipe

3 cups Special K cereal
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup light Karo syrup
1/2 cup sugar

Prepare a 9x9 baking dish with a light coating of butter or cooking spray.Combine the peanut butter, syrup and sugar in a large saucepan and heat on high until the mixture just begins to boil.

Alternately you can mix the peanut butter, syrup and sugar together in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for two minutes and stir; cook for 2 minutes more or until it begins to bubble around the edges.

Remove from the heat source and immediately stir in the cereal.

Press mixture into prepared pan and let it cool completely. Cut into 4 huge or 12 small squares and wrap in plastic wrap.

This Special K Bar Recipe will make 12 servings.
